fitness beyond physical

Being physically fit is good for your health. Being physically active is good for your health. Those two sentences sound the same, but they’re not. Physical activity is how much exercise you get, while physical fitness (more specifically cardiorespiratory or aerobic fitness, i.e. VO2max) is a measure of how much oxygen your heart and lungs can to deliver to be used by your muscles. FAITH and FITNESS are two recurring themes in my life. It’s been a journey of prioritizing these and everyday letting go of my ego and flesh so I’m not making fitness my idol. Having been immersed into the fitness industry in 2006, with over 10 years as a former fitness trainer, God led me to my local Church and a purpose to make a greater impact for Jesus Christ through fitness. I have been leading a Faith and Fitness small group for over a year now. I hope to build a bridge between fitness and faith in a way that unites and strengthens the fitness community for Christ-centered living and impact through workouts, faith-based discussion, and prayer.
